Litigator Michael Grant Joins Brithem LLP as Counsel

New York—October 1, 2026—Michael Grant, a litigator with experience across antitrust, securities, mass tort, and complex commercial disputes, has joined Brithem LLP as counsel. He arrives from Cravath, Swaine & Moore, where he was a litigation associate.

Michael has worked on all aspects of commercial litigation, ranging from motion practice through fact and expert discovery and into trial. He has significant experience overseeing fact discovery in large, multi-party matters and regularly first chairs depositions and prepares witnesses for trial testimony. He has also advised clients on the antitrust implications of cross-border mergers.

“Michael has spent his career getting cases ready for trial. He’s deposed key witnesses, prepared others to testify, and managed discovery in cases with many parties and a lot at stake,” said Michael Bowe, co-founding partner of Brithem. “Our clients will benefit from that depth of experience in every case he works on.”

At Cravath, Michael represented a software developer in two federal antitrust lawsuits and a healthcare company in multidistrict antitrust class action litigation and related opt-out cases. He also represented an energy company in mass tort litigation arising from wildfires and a telecommunications company in a securities class action. His pro bono work includes representing a client in a Section 1983 civil rights action and preparing an application for compassionate release.

“Brithem’s commitment to exceptional legal work is what drew me here,” said Michael. “I look forward to working on matters where I can make a meaningful difference for the people and businesses we represent.”

Earlier in his career, Michael clerked for the Hon. Robert Kirsch of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Michael received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as senior submissions editor of the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics. He earned his B.S. from Cornell University.
