In a case exposing bias and corruption in the “old boys’ network” controlling the highest levels of government and global finance, we represent a Black-owned asset manager in a civil rights and RICO case against New Jersey officials, BlackRock, and other Wall Street firms for discriminating against and stealing opportunities from our client.

Major Jason Brezler was being wrongfully separated from the Marine Corps after warning fellow Marines about a corrupt Afghan police chief abusing boys. We secured an unprecedented Federal Court decision vacating the military tribunal’s order and then won the retrial to ensure Brezler could continue to serve.

We are prosecuting a $900 million civil RICO claim on behalf of a group of private developers and Department of Defense military branches who formed joint ventures to develop improved military housing. The case alleges investment bank Jefferies and insurer Ambac fraudulently charged inflated interest rates and other misrepresented costs to bilk the developers and service branches out of hundreds of millions of dollars.

With Bill Ackman as the star witness and in attendance throughout a three-week jury trial, we secured a multimillion-dollar verdict on behalf of Ackman’s charitable Pershing Square Foundation against an insurance carrier that had wrongfully refused to make the charity whole for a major loss.

We sued Greenpeace for its long campaign of misleading accusations against a Canadian forest company, its customers, and suppliers. The suit ended the campaign, forced Greenpeace to admit its claims were not factual, and protected the company against future attacks.
